Yin Cheng Zong 殷承宗

In 1941, Yin Cheng Zong was born on Kulangsu (Gulangyu) Island. In spring 1950, Yin Cheng Zong hosted his first “9-year-old piano solo concert” at the [A.R.C.M. Girls’ Middle School]. Yin Cheng Zong showed his gift for music at a very young age. In 1962, he won the second place in the prestigious Second Tchaikovsky International Piano Competition.

Yin Cheng Zong also composed a series of national style of piano solos, such as “Shi Mian Mai Fu,” “Chun Jiang Hua Yue Ye”, “Ping Hu Qiu Yue”, “Mei Hua San Nong”, and“Bai Niao Chao Feng.” In 1970, Yin cheng zong worked with others to create the “Huang He,” which was created based on the “Huang He Da He Chang.”

1941年,殷承宗出生于鼓浪屿鸡山路圃庵。1950年春天,在鼓浪屿毓德女子中学礼堂举行“9岁幼童钢琴独奏音乐会”,很早就崭露了音乐天赋。1962年获第二届柴可夫斯基国际钢琴比赛第二名。殷承宗主持创作了一系列民族风格的钢琴独奏曲,如《十面埋伏》、《春江花月夜》、《平湖秋月》、《梅花三弄》、《百鸟朝凤》等。1970年,殷承宗与人合作,根据《黄河大合唱》改编创作了钢琴协作曲《黄河》。
