In Jan. 1st, 2018, the Xiamen Number Two Middle School, Xiamen Foreign Language School and Xiamen Music School were gathering to perform New Year Music Concert. The principal of Xiamen Number Two Middle School, Qijian Wu said,the reason why these three schools were playing concert together for this New Year was because they were all founded on Kulangsu Island and the schools were nurtured by Kulangsu Island for a very long time.

厦门二中、厦门外国语学校和厦门市音乐学校，1日再续前缘，联合举办新年音乐会。吴启建认为，归根结底，三所学校的缘分在于:都诞生在鼓浪屿，共同孕育鼓浪屿百年文化和教育。
